Pistachio Salmonella: Go Nuts With Salmonella Bacteria

The Salmonella Bacteria scare makes it a bigger news with recent developments in the food processing business. This time, experts claim that Pistachio Salmonella is on the loose! Salmonella bacteria can be found in raw nuts, reports show.

On Philippine TV last week, Planters Pistachios were recalled from shelves. In the US, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) recalled Planters Pistachios, Setton Pistachios and other pistachio brands processed by some of America’s biggest companies due to possible salmonella bacteria infection.

The list of pistachio salmonella-infected brands keeps growing every week. I will try to update everyone on the developments of this public health issue as soon as my facts are complete.   1. In the School where my kids studying, they don’t recently allowed the students to bring foods with any nuts flavor. If it happens that they forgot, they have to make sure that they don’t share with others kids. I forgot kung eto nga yung dahilan kasi madami bata nagkaka allergy.

    The salmonella scare has become global. Before, people were cautioned about peanut butter and other peanut products, now pistachio nuts have also become contaminated. :-(
