In the Philippines, selling of street foods is common. Despite the fact that there are many hazards of eating street foods like pork barbecue, “adidas” (chicken feet), longganisa, isaw, and others, many Filipinos and foreigners are enjoy eating street foods.

For a few of the dangers or hazards of eating street foods, one can contract salmonella, Hepatitis A, stomach cancer, or possibly liver cirrhosis (depending on the person’s condition). However, the joys of eating street foods usually outweigh the hazards the act poses. On the other hand, that still depends on the sanitary practices of vendors. If you are a foreigner and want to enjoy the Philippines during your stay, you should try our street foods. If you are sensitive and disagree to this idea, that’s up to you. But, you’ll be missing a lot of things if you won’t taste our very own “balot”, “empanada” and isaw. They’re the best. Yummy!
