Getting Enough Sleep Is Important to Attain Good Health
Sleep is very important to attain good health and strong immune system. Sleep recharges the body of lost energy and it is during this period that the body repairs damages cells. Muscles grow during sleep that is why for bodybuilders, sleep is an inevitable part of their regimen.
Before this period when I can get enough sleep, I’ve been battling several sleep problems. One of the reasons is work. I work overnight on theses, researches and a bunch of other activities. Sleep deprivation for me was normal. Another reason was habit – I was a heavy cigarette smoker (I’m cutting down on smoking these days) and a voracious coffee drinker (which somewhat helped me fight diseases because of coffee’s antioxidants).
I can also attribute this to the bed that I used to sleep on. I used to have a bed that is around 4-inch thick (cushion). It did not help me sleep because of its thickness and fluffiness. In view of this, I got a thinner cushion bed where the foam is somewhat harder, making it more resistant to my weight. I can now sleep better because it’s more comfortable than the one I used for years. However, I’d really love to get an air mattress. It seems comfortable and the good thing about it is I can take it anywhere. I was checking on air mattress prices to see how much does an air mattress cost but it seems I can’t afford it yet. ![]()
In any case, whatever bed you use for as long as you are comfortable, then that would do just fine. It’s most likely that you’ll get a good night sleep. A good night sleep is always a great treat so sleep well, have a balanced diet and do some exercise to stay healthy.

hi Jessie! I slept 10-11 hours straight last night, bumabawi kasi ilang araw na rin akong hindi nakakatulog ng maayos… tapos pagbalik ko down na naman ang site ko.

Fren,
I’ve been sleeping well lately unlike before. I think drinking red wine and beer really helped me get some decent sleep. Sleeping hours usually last for 5-6 hours (which is adequate for me) and I feel stronger with this new sleeping pattern.

Fren, after reading your post about the red wine, I tried drinking it and I noticed that my sleeping problem has been alleviated. I can get up early in the morning without feeling dizzy and tired, too. Parang fresh nga ang feeling kapag nakatulog nang maayos. But still, I can’t drink a glass, pakonti-konti lang dahil di ko talaga gusto ang red wine. Hubby bought me a mild one, pero nasisira pa rin ang mukha ko kapag nalasahan ito.

Fren,
Kita mo effective ang red wine to induce sleep.
I drink it (and beer) regularly. Moderated drinking nga lang fren. It’s good and I really have developed a more “normal” sleeping pattern because of this.
