Would You Hire a Babysitter to Babysit Your Children?

In the Philippines, hiring a babysitter is to babysit a child is not very common. In the Filipino culture, family members are primarily the ones tasked to help in rearing a child. Babysitting is usually assigned to the grandmother, sister and other close kins. Very seldom can you find a Filipino family that hire a babysitter.

On the other hand, in other parts of the world like Hong Kong, Singapore, Canada, US and Europe, hiring a babysitter to rear a child is more common. This is the reason why many Filipinos work in those countries as babysitters or “nannies”.

Babysitting services can now be found online. Finding a babysitter is no longer that difficult. However, if you’re in the Philippines, these services may not apply. Abroad these services could be available.

These babysitter rates vary depending on many things like experience of the babysitter, client expectation, age and other things. The wages for a babysitter range from $7.00 to $17.00 per an hour. Given the chance, I think I’d rather be a babysitter than an online publisher.

According to a website offering babysitting services, “If a babysitter sets their own wage requirements, you should expect it to be connotative with the relationship you build with them. If they are asking for a wage on the higher end of the spectrum, you should see exceptional service. A great babysitter is always prepared, asks questions and knows how to handle unexpected situations.”

For busy people (like myself) and are far from their close kins, hiring a babysitter could work. There is no guarantee that it will but if career (work) consumes too much of your time that your schedule does not allow you to babysit your own child, then try hiring a babysitter. You can find a baby sitter online but be careful. Qualify the babysitter and set a personal interview with possible applicants.

    kouji,

yup, that is usually the case. it’s hard for people to rear a child while they are busy with work and business. those who do not need babysitting services are lucky.

  3. Madami din yan dito Fren at minsan naisip ko ipa babysit mga kids pag may mga lakad kami. Minsan din Fren parang gusto ko nalang mag babysit kasi malaki nga ang bayad ng babysitter. Pinag-iisipan kopa yan gang ngayun kasi napakaayos na sideline eh kesa pakahirap pa ako hanap ng work based on natapos ko.
