Satellite TV is A Very Good Source of Information and Income

Satellite TV (also known as Cable TV in the Philippines) is a great source of information not just entertainment but virtually all subjects for everyday life. My cable TV subscription is only PhP 300 per month but the package comes with 65 channels one of which is controlled by the provider where the subscribers can text or call their office for personal requests (even “not-so-young” shows). You know what I mean.

Having seen the potential of Ilocos Norte as a good market for satellite television, my cousin and her family established a network here. They have been operating for about two months now and have employed 10 individuals. Their current subscribers stand at 500 paying a monthly bill between Php 400-600 (I think). In fact, after writing this, I will proceed there to fix their computers and network.

In the US, this type of business is already competitive. One of the service providers is DIRECT TV. It is not a discount satellite TV service because it aims to deliver premium content geared for all audiences and some high-action, news, sports, and exclusive programming at affordable rates. They offer HD Channels (76 channels) and their packages start at just $19.99 per month.

Direct TV has established a good name in this business because they have partnered with Hughes networks which owns their satellite in orbit. This means they can provide you with the highest possible quality of service because they have their own high-tech equipment.
