Beijing 2008 Olympics Medal Count Update: The 2008 Beijing Olympics proves to be very favorable to the Chinese team as it rakes number of olympic gold medal in the XXIV Summer Olympics. The homecourt advantage in China is really helping the Chinese Team reap golds in the Olympics. An update on the Olympic medal count is shown below:
As of this writing, the following medal count is in the tally of the 2008 Beijing Olympics committee in the Gold-Silver-Bronze arrangement:
- China = 20-7-5
- United States (USA) = 10-8-13
- Korea = 6-6-1
- Germany = 6-1-2
- Australia = 5-4-7
- Japan = 5-3-3
- Italy = 4-4-3
- France = 2-7-5
- Russian Fed. = 2-7-3
- Great Britain = 2-2-3
The trend in the 2008 Beijing Olympics medal count/tally update leans towards a showdown between the two giant countries, China and the United States. For the Philippine Olympic Team in the 2008 Beijing Olympics, the Olympics is not over yet although trends suggest that we might not win any medal. China is still on top of the medal tables. Based on the latest 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics Medal Count/Medal Tally, China’s medal machine is showing no sign of loosening its grip on the top spot. Looks like they really prepared for this year’s competition. The US is stuck in second place and not even the heroics of Michael Phelps could give them their traditional top spot in the 2008 Olympic medal tally/medal count.

Overall, I think China will win the Olympics based on the trend in the 2008 olympic medal count update/tally. China’s athletes are truly superb.
