Protect Your Eyes by Using the Right Lights and Illumination
As bloggers, it’s highly important that we protect our eyes, on top of all other body parts, to be able to function properly and do what we got to do as writers, bloghoppers, card droppers, money makers, et al.
The eyes according to wikipedia, are organs that detect light. Different kinds of light-sensitive organs are found in a variety of animals. The simplest “eyes”, in even unicellular organisms, do nothing but detect whether the surroundings are light or dark, which is sufficient for the entrainment of circadian rhythms and may allow the organism to seek out or avoid light, but hardly can be called vision.
More complex eyes can distinguish shapes and colors. The visual fields of some such complex eyes largely overlap, to allow better depth perception (binocular vision), as in humans; and others are placed so as to minimize the overlap, such as in rabbits and chameleons.
The eyes are some of our most abused organs because we use them everyday and every waking minute. The eye is a highly sensitive organ. Hence, when using lights like those attached to ceiling fans (when reviewing notes, reading books, writing articles, etc.) the proper lighting should be adjusted to protect our eyes.
Other sources of lighting inside our homes like forecast lighting and under cabinet lighting should be given attention. These parts of our home may not seem important but when the right time comes for us to be there to get some stuff, then a good lighting with just the right illumination will help our eyes function better.

Elaine,
In my case, I’ve been using eyeglasses for more than 20 years now but recently I’m training my eyes not to wear glasses at all. I only use one when I’m driving. My eyes are also very sensitive to glare that is why I bought eyeglasses that are designed to protect your eyes from glare.

Ang pagsisisi ay laging nasa huli. Laking pagsisisi ko why I haven’t took care of my eyes in my younger years. Now I am a complete invalid without my contact lenses or my eye glasess. 10.00 grade in both eyes… Kung maibabalik ko lang! Sigh!
