How Much is Your Income From Blogging?
This morning my wife asked me how much have I earned from blogging. I do not hide anything from my wife and so I told her the truth - a little over $1,000 for the month of May.
The income is a combination of reviewing products and services, serving Google Adsense and some other affiliate marketing in my 5 active sites (which I will admit is killing me due to the work involved). I cannot tell you the breakdown so far because I haven’t been too conscious about it. Maybe in my future articles.
I shouldn’t complain but is a thousand dollars per month enough to sustain my financial needs? Well, maybe. But you know what, it takes a lot of patience, hardwork and guts. It’s not easy to go into blog advertising as well as strengthening your sites for Google Adsense, Chitika and Widgetbucks.
I was wondering if I should stop blogging although the money is good, my health is suffering as well as my schedule offline. Sometimes monitoring my blogs’ performances takes so much time, dropping a few Entrecards and hunting for opps, added work (wheww!). My goodness! The body and mind just can take so much.
At any rate, you may post through your comments your own income for last month if you want so we can share experiences about this wild world of blogging business.

In about 30 days eh mga 25 days akong gising. Add to that 5 days akong gising fixing my computers na lok-bu. In ohter words, 30 days na kong walang tulog. hahaha!

hello Manong! wow! a thousand bucks for month of May, thats big big money na sa Pinas!! ok since u ask the income for others then i’ll tell u mine hehe! i can’t hide my income online to my husband either, maka access cia sa acount ko online eh, at saka bank account nya ang gamit ko to withdraw the money kac EON sucks(on my part only). I started paid blogging march 16..and as off today june na, ang laman ng paypal ko is a litle over $500.. and ung collectible pa is almost 500$..suma total,hindi pa ako nangangalahati sa kinikita mo,hehe..hhhmm zero PR ako huhu! at blogging lang yan..wala akong affiliate,etc.ok na rin yan ngayong na sa Pinas pa. Hindi rin ako full time online kac magalit c hubby. sinabihan pa nga ako i don’t have to do blogging, nainis pa minsan..kaya yon limited nalang time ko at saka hindi na humuhuli sa 3P,pano gray ng gray.hehe! wait nalang ako magka PR nito. kelan pa kaya hehe!Balik ako dito sa response mo baka may mai share ka na pagkakakitaan manong.hehe!

First of all, congrats! You did good for yourself and your family.
As for me, my blogging income for May was around $500. Biggest money maker was Adsense and affiliate/referral earnings. Paid review programs come last which represents around 25% of that figure.
I can feel your exhaustion, I maintain 5 blogs as well. Two are already stable, while the other three are hopefully getting there within the next few months.
My target is to get $1000 a month from all my blogs without paid reviews, I’m optimistic that this will happen by early next year. I know these things take time and perhaps the most important thing I learned from blogging is patience.
In any case, I always keep in mind what my mother told me one time when she saw me still up, blogging at almost 5 in the morning. She said, “Bale wala ‘yang pera na makukuha mo kung magkakasakit ka at sa ospital mo lang ipambabayad ang kinita mo. Alagaan mo ang sarili mo.”
That was such a big wake-up call for me. She had a very solid point.
Anyway, I guess that’s it for me. Ayoko mag-mukhang blog post na itong comment ko. Hehe. I wish you bro more power and higher income this June. Best wishes also to all your readers.

Ganyan din ang sabi ko sa sarili ko:
1) I have to stabilize my income at $1K/mo with very little or without doing paid blogging. I know this goal takes time, a lot of time really. Patience is really a virtue in this respect.
2) I have to take care of myself and think more about health because first, my aggressive stance on blogging only started last month where I was really aggressive but you know what? I don’t think with that type of style, my level of income for the month of May might not be replicated. It is so time-consuming and I even got sick for days. At times I think it’s not even worth it because it’s even affecting my moods and appetite.
Thanks for sharing your experiences. It’s really a good thing if bloggers like us can share knowledge and experiences so that others (especially newer ones) could learn from us who have been part of the blogosphere for a longer time.
I also intend to increase my adsense income because unlike you, it only constitutes 20-25% of my monthly income since serving Google adsense in April.

I think most of my earnings online come from that. hehe Pero nakaka-stress din minsan. Although nakaka-addict talga. I have to learn to have more discipline sa sarili ko.

This article got me into computing our overall blogging income. Di ko na kasi namo monitor ang adsense at wla din kami affiliate. Ganon din kami $1,059 across all our blogs for the month of May. Di pa nga masyado ngayon kasi lam mo na si ppp ang tipid mgbigay opps. Masaya ng pr4 pa. hehe di nawawalan. Grab ko lahat ng pwde sayang eh bka ma pr0 nanaman ako. pakinabangan ko muna.

pa cheeseburger ka naman frend! hehe seriously, i could feel the exhaustion at times. I have 2 blogs doing reviews and i have 3 “baby” blogs (meaning new as in sobrang matrabaho talaga just to give it some content).
i’m not yet about to give out though. will probably take sometime for me to earn some stable income. last month din, i didnt take much opps coz it was draining a lot of creativity out of me (kakaisip ba kung ano sasabihin sa review ;P)
take care of your health.. its really not worth it if you get sick. ako, I take 2 rest days per week, care ko na muna sa opps, drops or hopping..teka, ang haba na ng comment ko.. feeling ko kc post to!

Wow! Sarap naman nun! Ilang months na din ata akong di nakakahawak ng dolyares! hahahaha!
Namiss ko din tuloy!
Sus sino ba naman ang hindi makakamiss.. e totoo naman kasing ang sarap kung iispin mong kumikita ka ng libo libo ng nkaupo lang at pa blog blog lang db?
Kaso exhausting naman sobra! Kung gusto mo dumami ang $$$ kelngan din isakripisyo ang pahinga!
Dati para lang ma maintain ko un $1,200-1,500 na target income ko monthly.. halos nagagalit nko sa sarili ko tuwing npapahaba ang tulog ko at napapasuan ako ng offers.. Kahit nga pag cr dko magawa nun.. dahil walang katapusan ang offers.. Hehehehe..
Kaso kahit pa gaano kalaki ang $$$ dadating pa din talaga yung point na mapapaisip ka at magninilay nilay ka kung ano ang mas mahalaga.. haaay..

Tama ka dyan kaibigan. ako nga rin napaisip na eh. kako kailangan ba talagang ganito (dahil nagkasakit ako nang ilang beses sa loob lang ng isang bwan) eh dati naman akong di nagkakasakit. Ang problema ko ngayon (which i discussed with my wife) is this: blog advertising is a matter of sacrifice. minsan dahil sa pera eh isasakripisyo mo ang pagsusulat ng mga topics na talagang love mo. Minsan kasi hindi relevant yung opps eh kaya aminin man o hindi ng mga reviewers eh nagsa-suffer yung klase ng blog nila (namin pala) madalas. This is a question of practicality and idealism: money or quality. what i do is i try to balance things by writing articles (paid or not) as good as possible. Nirerelate ko sa mga interests ko and I try to inform/educate my readers about the things that i write about.
