The three American Idol contestants, David Cook, David Archuleta and Syesha Mercado, had their own share of criticisms from at least one of the 3 judges - Randy Jackson, Paula Abdul and Simon Cowell. American Idol 2008 judge Paula Abdul seems to highly favor David Cook. I cannot blame Paula Abdul for liking David Cook that much because the guy is really good. For every episode of American Idol 2008 Season 7 I’ve seen, Paula Abdul has always been all-praises to David Cook.

After Jason Castro’s dismal performance in the May 6, 2008 episode of American Idol, he was voted off tonight by text voters all over America. I really love David Archuleta tonight and his performance in American Idol 2008 Top 4 performance night. David Archuleta gave the best performance of the night as he sang “Love Me Tender”, an Elvis Presley original. David Archuleta was really appealing onstage despite the fact that some people think he’s gay.

American Idol 2008 Update: Syesha Mercado and David Archuleta showed the strongest performances in the American Idol 2008 Season 7 tonight, May 6, 2008.
Syesha Mercado brought the house down with her performance. I really liked how Syesha Mercado transformed from a shy girl onstage to a more exciting performer. Randy Jackson’s comment said it all - Syesha Mercado is “in the zone, baby!”
