How Many Cell Phones Do You Own?
How many cell phones do you own? This question was asked by a research assistant to me a few years ago. It was a nationwide survey conducted and financed by a cell phone manufacturer. At that time I owned 3 cell phone units. Now I only have one, and I admit it’s already old. Thanks to my hammer, I managed to smash one and threw away another out the window of my jeep when my wife and I fought over some petty things. Now we share the same GSM cell phone unit. 
But what is a cell phone? According to wikipedia.org, the mobile phone (also called a mobile, wireless, cellular phone, cell phone, or hand phone(hp)) is a short-range, portable electronic device used for mobile voice or data communication over a network of specialized base stations known as cell sites. In November 2007, the total number of mobile phone subscriptions in the world reached 3.3 billion, or half of the human population, which also makes the mobile phone the most widely spread technology and the most common gadget in the world. In addition to the standard voice function of a telephone, current mobile phones may support many additional services, and accessories, such as SMS for text messaging, email, packet switching for access to the Internet, java gaming, bluetooth, infrared, camera with video recorder and MMS for sending and receiving photos and video. Most current mobile phones connect to a cellular network of base stations (cell sites), which is in turn interconnected to the public switched telephone network (PSTN) (the exception is satellite phones). Since the mid-2000s, an increasing number of cellphones can connect to the Internet, a portion of which can be navigated using cellphones.
Indeed, the uncanny cell phone has become an all-around multimedia device. There is one small problem though if you do not have Unlocked Cell Phones - you cannot use other SIM card other than the one recommended by the manufacturer. To remedy this, you have to avail of the services of a qualified technician which will cost you some cash of course. Why not then just buy an unlocked unit? Me too. I must have outgrown my dependency on cellular phones. My wife handles the CP most of the time. The ringtones even bother me when I’m writing that is why I always make sure it’s on silent mode.

wahahaha alam mo fren di akoa mahilig sa cellphone pero eto apat cellphone ko dito..meron ako dalawa for recieving messages sa pinas dahil roaming, iba pangreply ko yung cell ko naman dito then may isa ako cell nakatago lang sa anak ko sana kaso wag na muna baka madistrack sa skul..pero nakasilent lahat kasi pagnagblog ako ang ingay ano bayan..

I only have one cellphone.. nakakapagod mag check ng messages kung dalawa or tatlo ang CP.. kahit iisa lang cp hindi ko pa ma check ang inbox,palaging late na. =)

I got 4 cell phones kuya, 1 for roaming, 2 for personal use and 1 for office use. Ayoko ko kasi na yong clients eh sa personal number ko tumatawag, nakakairita lalo na anytime tumatawag parang feel nila eh 24/7 ka on work. hahay. Pg weekend tsaka after work hours na eh naka off ang office phone ko para lang istorbo. Honestly, dati as in cell phone addict ako, minsan nasira yong phone ko eh halos mgwala ako..hahaha.. pero now eh I surpassed that stage na. Minsan nga di tumutunog ang personal phone ko eh..

ako I used to be like that also. magasgasan lang ang cell phone ko nagwawala tlga ako. now eh kiber. kahit basagin ng misis ko ang cell phone ko eh deadma na lang. hihihi!
