Protect the Environment by Using Artificial Flowers and Plants
Countless efforts to protect the environment have been made by concerned groups from around the world. But don’t you know that we can do our share right inside our homes? There are many ways but one way to do this is to use fake plants. Yup, fake plants, flowers and trees.
According to some experts on silk plants, the modern times find man lying waste to the planet. The cities become bigger and bigger day by day and the demand on nature has grown. The one good thing is that man is becoming conscious of the danger of felling trees, and using up of natural resources. Preservation of nature has become the need of the day. This can be done with the increase in the use of faux trees and flowers.
Now many suffer from allergies which can be solved by using faux flowers that do not contain pollen particles. The use of faux trees decreases the chance of problems with insects in your home. With skyscrapers coming up to satisfy the growing housing needs faux plants are becoming the only practical greenery people are able to care for.
Here fake plants have an edge over the natural ones. They not only serve preserving natural ones but also satisfy one’s thirst to decorate one’s interiors and outdoors, without any health risk. Even a simple drawing room gets transformed into a rich and royal place with fake trees and plants.
They have valid points in my personal view. First, I am allergic to pollens and second, I do not have much time watering real plants. When I first saw stuffs like fake plants and flowers, I was fooled (to be honest). I wasn’t able to distinguish the real from the artificial because they really look alike. At home, we use the fake ones more due to the reasons given above and so far, nobody has complained yet. ![]()

This is an interesting twist; I like it very much. The debate between silk (or fake) flowers and natural flowers won’t be ending anytime soon. It’s unfortunate that the realization to protect our environment has come quite late. Artificial plants is probably the way to go but should be used in moderation. Great post.

Ted,
You’re right. The use of silk flowers and plants may be debatable at the moment. It just depends on the homeowner if he chooses to use the plastic/silk ones or natural ones.
