David Archuleta Sings “Love Me Tender” by Elvis Presley

I really love David Archuleta tonight and his performance in American Idol 2008 Top 4 performance night. David Archuleta gave the best performance of the night as he sang “Love Me Tender”, an Elvis Presley original. David Archuleta was really appealing onstage despite the fact that some people think he’s gay.

David Archuleta must have struggled a bit at first (as what Simon Cowell commented on his first song) but overall, he was the best performer of the night for choosing the right songs. David Archuleta’s voice seems to be less powerful than other contestants but he definitely got style and charisma to win the American Idol 2008 title.

Watch David Archuleta’s Youtube Video when he sang “Love Me Tender”. This is David Archuleta’s second song which gained 3 Yeses from Randy Jackson, Paula Abdul and Simon Cowell.

  1. Yes, David Archuleta is a star - no matter if he wins or not. At this point in the competition they all are fantastic. I really miss Brooke White however. It’s too bad she couldn’t have gone farther. She’s definitely the most likeable and real person is the competition. I hope we see more of her.

  2. I really enjoyed watching American Idol last night, except where Randy Jackson made the one girl cry. David Archuleta did an amazing job singing Love Me Tender. I believe Elvis was smiling.

  3. Get over the gay stuff. Guys can sing music tenderly and with feeling. And this is from a heterosexual male who happens to enjoy David’s artistry. You owe him big.
