If You Love Art and Beauty
Art in essence is a form of self-expression. Art comes in many forms - literature/writing, sculpture, painting, music, etc. But the most intriguing art form for me is painting. Why? because I can’t paint. I can write, I can sing, I can dance and I know a little of sculpting on wood. I can sketc, too. But I can’t paint. Using a paintbrush isn’t just my thing. My sisters are very good though. They just didn’t consider painting as a career.
Having said those, I’ve always wanted to visit a gallery of paintings - a place where I can browse and psychoanalyze (if I probably can) the works of great artists like Michaelangelo, Pablo Picasso, Monet, Juan Luna, Fernando Amorsolo and many more. I have been to art exhibits before but only in my home province and oh boy! What great sites and experiences they have been.
If you are in the US, and is student or fan of the arts, why not try going to Park West Gallery where it houses Jean-Claude Picot’s work. His works abound with natural beauty and features breathtaking panoramic views charged with the unique light of the Mediterranean. Picot works in a Post-Impressionist manner reducing flowers, trees, houses and figures to their essential forms.
Picot actively works with multiple media types, including oil, watercolor, acrylic, ceramic and etching. In addition he has recently begun working with serigraphy and embellished seriography to full capture his painterly technique and vibrant color. A favorite of international collectors, Picot’s work can be found in many prestigious collections across the world.
if you love nature as a genre in art, then this place could be just right for you.
