Today is Earth Hour Day
A reminder to all bloggers and non-bloggers visiting this blog: today is Earth Hour day. If you’re living here in the Philippines, the schedule of this event will be from 8-9 o’clock tonight. Please turn off all appliances and other electronic gadget running on electricity as part of our contribution to make the planet a little bit cooler. Earth Hour day is a move designed to help nature get a breather from all the heat and pollution caused by modern tools and equipment especially those emitting heat like light bulbs, TV sets, computers, etc.
Let us, as bloggers, spread the word through our blogs and word-of-mouth about this event. Please start informing members of your family and community since we have only a few hours to do it. Let’s all help conserve energy and protect the only home we really have - our planet.

Hi kuya! I posted the same campaign last week on my jenaspacio.blogspot.com site. I have been proactive since even in asking friends and relatives to turn everything off tonight, for 1 full hour. Gasp! When I actually think of it, that’s the time we start getting our airconditioning on. I just hope the heat will be bearable tonight. I figured this will really inconvenience most people especially with how how our climate has worsened these days. Napakainit tlaga. I’m not sure if you’re getting the same temperature rise from where you are po, pero from the where we are (lower Antipolo City) the heat can really eat you up in most times of the day. Which gets us back precisely to the reason why we should be doing this to begin with.
I’m wondering if the malls will participate. I hope they do, pero I’m really thinking of going there tonight if they wouldn’t. Pero I would rather they do, there’s always the OL (over looking) places we could go to for that needed breeze.

Jen,
Actually, my idea is, we have to do some energy-saving means like turning off all household equipment for an hour every month.

Oh man if I haven’t visited today in this page I will never know. Posted some of the words in my ym status with your link. According to my family in Bohol the weather is really damn hot. We are using heater at the moment here in Oz because we are all freezing. So cold the weather with rainshowers. If the event is 8-9 in Pinas so it’s 11-12 here. I will stop using my laptop starting eleven and maybe sleep with no lampshade. Gosh, I am afraid of the Dark. It’s good to participate even on our own. I am honestly worried with the condition of our Mother Earth.

Need to explain nga to our kids what is going on then I just told them let’s help our planet Earth because he is sick. Gandang araw sayo.
