Things People Do on Friendster

I just read this post in my Friendster Bulletin Board. The original title of the post was “Things Losers Do on Friendster“. This was posted by a friend and I think it’s noteworthy to repost it here. For Friendster users like myself, maybe you’re already familiar with this bulletin post. I find the concept behind the statements funny but flagrant. If it were not for vulgar terms used, the post would been better. I’m not really sure who is the real source of the post but I sure have realized some things about social networks (like Friendster), which I simply ignored in the past.

Please don’t even think I wrote this. This is definitely not my style of writing. I just thought you should know that some people find the following practices annoying and infuriating (which is obvious in the author’s choice of words). Read on if you want and I hope you’ll learn something from the post.

ONE:

Stop posting multiple bulletins!!!

People would read your bulletin if
they really want to!

Or even stop saying,
“READ ME”,
like I said,
people would read it
if they want to.

TWO:

To the people who have like 2,000
friends, are you serious?

You don’t know half the people!

You’re st*pid.

Go play in traffic.

THREE:

Don’t ever post pictures and
say, “OMG, I’m so
ugly” or “OMG, I’m so
fat” because if you were, you
wouldn’t post them.

And if u do, you’re a
f*cking idiot.

FOUR:

Nobody cares about threats over the
internet.

Don’t try to act hardcore with
the keyboard.

Fighting online is like racing in the
special marathon.

Even if you win,
you’re still retarded.

FIVE:

Quit crying just because
you’re not on
someone’s featured friends.

Who cares?

IT’S THEIR PROFILE!!!

NOT YOURS !!!

SIX:

Who really cares if I don’t
accept you
as a friend? MOVE ON!!!

Don’t send me another request or
message asking,
“What’s up with
you not adding me?”

I don’t want you as a friend,
that’s what’s up dumb a*s!!!

SEVEN:

6th graders who have Friendster and
look like sl*ts, and act like w*ores,
go somewhere else
because nobody wants
you here.

EIGHT:

If you have decided to read this, you
are a true Friendster Friend.

Real friends read their bulletins.

NINE:

I say you go and pass this on
and maybe
it will finally get through
people’s brains.

This is a test to see how many people
in your friends list actually pay
attention to you.

See? If you have observed the words used in the post, not all Friendster users are that friendly at all. However, I can’t blame the guy because sometimes, I also get annoyed by the practices he mentioned in his post. I just take it calmly and ignore the whole thing.

  3. HAHAHA! I received this one in 2006 in my email…. Nakakatawa talaga. Pero kuya, i can not reject someone I dont know who adds me as her/his friend because its impolite naman diba? So kahit diko kilala talaga, accept nalang din. Thats why its so true na di lahat ng nasa friends list ko friends ko talaga. Gaya rin dito sa blogospehere, care to exchange link? Pero di naman na bumabalik after u add them to ur list…

  11. Hay, totoo yan. :) I had been a Friendster member since 2003. I must admit, I used to be addicted to it but now, I just log in to see if there are messages or new comments left by friends. I used to have lots of solo pics but after learning that these pictures could be used by someone else without even me knowing it, I removed them all. I would rather post group pics now. :) At lalong hindi ako papansin sa bulletin. hehe

  12. Same here. Those multiple bulletins could be annoying if you don’t ignore them. I’ve got my blog so I don’t need Friendster’s bulletin. :D
But those chain (letters) messages, that have “if you don’t pass this, bad things will happen to you…” could get on my nerves. So I immediately delete them.

(I hope this comment could get through)
