The Chinese Lunar Calendar: Chart and Guide to Pregnancy
One of the archived articles in this blog is on the Use of Chinese Lunar Calendar. However, the chart (or calendar itself) was not presented. Hence I am posting this article which includes the chart in determining or predetermining your unborn baby’s gender or sex.
If you’re a pregnant mother, an expectant father or still on the stage of planning to have a baby, then, this chart may be useful to you.
Disclaimer: The following was a part of a past research in Nursing. It was used a related literature in the said study. However, the author can no longer find the original source of this material in his archives and hence, I do not claim proprietary rights to the said excerpt. The objective of reposting this is to simply educate and inform the readers about what the Chinese Lunar Calendar is all about.
You can choose for yourself whether you want a boy or a girl by following the chart. The woman’s age from 18 to 45 (Chinese reckoning) is on the top line while the months 1 to 12 indicate the month when the baby is conceived. By following the chart you will be able to tell in advance whether your baby will be a boy or a girl. Thus, you can plan to have a boy or a girl. This chart has been taken from a Royal tomb near Peking, China. The original copy is kept in the Institute of Science of Peking. The accuracy of the chart has been proved by thousands of People and is believed to be 99 percent accurate. By reckoning, you follow a line drawn from the figure representing the woman’s age to a line drawn from the month the baby is conceived. For instance, if the woman is 27 years old and her baby is conceived in January (according to the Chinese Lunar Calendar), then her baby will be a girl. The chart is based on the month the baby is conceived and not on the birth of the baby, B-Male, G-Female. Remarks: A Chinese Scientist discovered and drew this chart which was buried in a Royal tomb about 700 years ago.

Manong Jess,Q how about if the baby is conceived on Jan 26,thats almost Feb, and the woman is 28 and a half years old..is there a possibility that its a boy?or still a girl?i was wondering if 1% inaccurate still exists!!!

there is a certain timeline in the computation of woman’s conceiving age. still count 26 1/2 y/o as 26. if the baby was conceived on dec. 26, still use December as the basis for the month of conception.
i hope it remains accurate despite the fact that some ending periods are considered in the selection or determination.

waaa! ang lagay eh kasalanan ko pa pala pag nagkamali yan. hehehe
don’t worry, it’s 95% accurate. we have studied the accuracy of this chart using some 1,000 respondents in the sampling frame 2 years ago. Location: Ilocos Norte, Philippines.

I\’m not sure I believe this personally, but it\’s accurate for our child! I\’ll have to ask my wife what she thinks about this (she\’s Chinese)…
Although I\’m normally a bit skeptical, I\’ve learnt not to discount Chinese beliefs because they often seem to be correct, even if I can\’t see how!

its great that u had great prediction for ur child…..and u said ur wife is chinese its gud…..could u pls ask ur wife that ….my wife date of birth is 23 oct 1979 according to english calander…we r not able to calculate the age according to chinese and so confused in lots of chinese chart……so what would be the gender prediction for next few months….we hav a girl now we want to conceive a boy so which month would be preferable for that……thanx alot…..

That’s true… I mean Chinese beliefs and practices somehow find their way to fulfilling their objectives even if no scientific evidence can be shown why their methods work.

I am pregnant with another baby, but my last child was a boy! According to the chart he was supposed to be a girl! I was 21 at the time of conception and my baby was conceived in March! So this can’t be as accurate as it is said to be!
