@ Steve,

Thanks for stumbling on my site from somewhere else. :-) This is a blunder most bloggers make. They want to make money online without preparing their site for the venture. In my view, this is premature preparation and forcing the blog to earn without sufficient pedigree. I will not lie to anyone that i also want to monetize my site but NOT up to the extent of abusing the site through posting ads everywhere.

Building a site's readership base, RSS subscribers and search engine traffic is not an easy task. It takes time. But many people out there just want to force their way to the money-making world only to find out in the end that they are not prepared for the tasks involved in making big bucks. For this reason, the most likely outcome is dissatisfaction and failure. In view of this, bloggers should blog about the things they are passionate about (at first) to build a momentum towards making money when the right time comes. Being impatient won't really help in any way.

jessie's last blog post..The Goodness of God

Haha - I was thinking: "this must be a scam" too!

I've only just found your blog in the last few days. When I saw the heading, I thought it seemed out of place, but I was a little bit worried that that it was for real! Glad it wasn't.

I agree with everything you said (after the first paragraph). I thought making money online would be easy too, but I've made very little. I'm still trying, but...

From what I've seen, most people who actually make money online build their sites to the point where they have LOTs of readers, lots of search engine traffic - at some point the money starts flowing. So like you say, keep your composure, don't worry so much about making money, it will come in time.

Steve's last blog post..Finding The Best Bank

@ judge,

You must have used terms that are filtered by Akismet. Some write-ups are cut when the commentator uses terms labeled as spam... I have wrote something about this problem in one of my articles.

Lovely.

I wrote about 200 words on why I agreed with you and the site cut it down.

Great work.

I read the article because of the first paragraph and I wanted to see which scam was being advertised. Glad to see it was no scam at all.

I cant believe just how many sites exist out there all claiming to \
