During those days, teachers are respected and sometime feared at. They had the power to punish naughty kids and parents would be supportive. But now, kids like to talk back, skip classes, and fool around. Even parents are protecting their kids and sparing the rod. I do think that media has a lot to do with it. Most TV channels no longer air decent and/or educational TV shows.
