Attention Bloggers Serving Advertlets!
I’ve just opened my computer and logged on to this blog only to find out that before the homepage is fully loaded, the site is redirected to the following address:
http://www.adbaaz.com/?dn=www.advertlets.com&flrdr=yes&nxte=js&prvtof= 8b2VkUqfXDWL2gdOuQNvcTxD6a41uKr4A6r07Xf4Yqk%3D
Opera and Firefox considered this redirect as malicious and fraudulent. The effect of this is devastating to the blog owner/author since visitors will assume that he/she is behind this malicious deed. This is not true. I myself was shocked to find out I can’t even open my own homepage!
As a word of warning to all bloggers serving Advertlets, remove the widget where you put their code or check where you put their code in one of your templates then simply delete it. This will disable the redirection of your blog’s homepage address to the one given above, and you’ll be back to normal operation. This is not a good news to anyone who trusted this company. I have sent an email to them and still waiting for their reply. Let’s just wait for their action regarding this problem.
Update: Advertlets’ website is down and my browser indicates that the domain name expired on January 03, 2008.

very weird. for a company that’s trying to be the next biggest thing in Asis, this is definitely a disaster.

I saw it happen on some of the blogs and I thought they have been hacked of something. Before the page can fully load their site is redirected. Thanks for clearing that out.
