Wish List for 2008

Laoag City, Philippines. All is getting ready for the New Year celebration. The tables are set. The food and drinks are being prepared. Family members start to gather around while some start to go out with friends. The firecrackers are tested before finally firing them all up at midnight. But here I am writing my random thoughts and wishes about the incoming year before plunging into the festivities.

This is one of the few times I have prepared a wish list. I was very young then when I did this the last time. I used to think it was only for kids but then realized that sometimes we have to bring out the kids in us to see what we have become as adults.

So, before 2008 hits the calendars, may I share with all of you my simple wish list:

  1. Better health for loved ones including online friends.
  2. Less work.
  3. More sleep.
  4. Less worries about work.
  5. More education.
  6. Less travel.
  7. More tolerance.
  8. Less online activities.
  9. More interaction with animals.
  10. Less time with my bike and jeep.
  11. More time with my grandchildren.
  12. More time to pray and meditate.
  13. More money for all bloggers.

Best wishes to all and may all your aspirations come true! Pax!

it’s good to look back once in a while about the way we have lived our lives amidst these chaos, and wish for the things that we’d like to have – not just for ourselves, but for others as well.

I travel a lot within Ilocos Norte and Ilocos Sur because of my small business. This in turn is very stressful so i decided to stay at home for a while and ask someone to do the traveling for me. Traveling is good though especially when it’s overseas. Happy New Year!

But I do remember, the New Years celebrations with all the street firecrackers were the best ones I’ve ever experienced.
